Katerina Aivazoglou holds an MA in Teaching Greek as a Second Language (University of Nicosia) and an BA in Philology (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). Ms. Aivazoglou has experience teaching both adults and children. While living in Alexandria, Egypt, she taught at the Hellenic Cultural Foundation and at the Hellenic Community of Alexandria’s “Department of Mother Tongue.” She also taught at the Alexandria Institute in Greece. Ms. Aivazoglou currently teaches in the Greek Department of the American Academy in Nicosia.

Rachel Iannacone received a Ph.D. in architectural history from the University of Pennsylvania. From 2006 to 2009, Dr. Iannacone taught at the University of Minnesota’s School of Architecture. While there, she initiated and co-led the annual field study “Tradition in Transition: Athens & Nicosia.” Upon moving to Cyprus, Dr. Iannacone shifted to primary and secondary education. For nine years, she taught Middle School Social Studies at the American International School in Cyprus, where she founded and coordinated the Cultural Heritage Program.
